Step lighting looks effortless when it is finished, but it only works if it is planned before the stone or joinery is installed.
Agree the lighting position under each tread, the channel type and the driver location with the stone contractor. Leave a conduit route from each flight to an accessible driver box.
Finally decide how the lighting is controlled: manual switch, motion sensor at the top and bottom, or a smart scene.
